In A Big Country (Dance Mix)

General Information

This is a commercial club/dance re-mix of In A Big Country by a UK producer called Mr Blank, and it has been done with the full approval and co-operation of Ian Grant and Stuart Adamson. The record is entitled "Stay Alive in a Big Country" released under the name Mr Blank meets Big Country on RCR Ltd's Ripe Recordings label. The promo release was Monday 12 May 1997 (delayed from 14th April & 3rd March) and commercial release has been set for 4th August. You should be able to purchase a copy via your local record store (if they can get it) or, better still, get a DJ-Promo 12" single from Jan at Country Club.

About RCR

RCR logo RCR Ltd. is an Independent Record Company based in Birmingham, UK. Andrew Steven (the Director) explained that unfortunately, due to a severe backlog, their vinyl manufacturers took forever to manufacture the 12" singles and they therefore had to postpone release until Monday 12 May. The track promoted to UK clubs by Power Promotions and it was also plugged to national and local radio.

Formats

The release is available on 12" and CD Single formats in the UK, distributed by Pinnacle, catalogue number 12RIPE221 (12") and RIPEXD221 (CDS). It will be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by Bellaphon Records, in Benelux by Movieplay Entertainment, in the USA by Bean Bag Entertainment and provisionally in Japan by ND International. Obviously each overseas territory will have its own catalogue number, so appropriate enquiries will have to be made.
